The Investment Opportunity
Discover the growing demand for specialist access, lifting, and deployment solutions as construction, infrastructure, utility, and industrial projects become increasingly complex.

The Opportunity
Construction, infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, marine, and industrial projects are increasingly being undertaken in environments where access has become one of the biggest operational challenges.
Steeper developments, tighter sites, ageing infrastructure, environmental constraints, and growing project complexity are creating situations where conventional lifting and deployment methods are not always the most practical or cost-effective solution.
In many cases, the challenge is not lifting capacity itself. The challenge is safely and efficiently getting people, equipment, and materials to where they need to be.
As these challenges continue to grow, so does the need for specialist access and deployment solutions that can complement traditional lifting and transport methods.
Spidi Lift Solutions is being developed around this opportunity.

The Challenge
Many modern construction, infrastructure, utility, and industrial projects are no longer being built on flat, easily accessible sites.
Steeper developments, restricted work areas, operational facilities, waterfront locations, environmental constraints, and ageing infrastructure are creating increasing access challenges for contractors and asset owners.
In many cases, the challenge is not the lift itself—it's getting people, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently to where they need to be.
Traditional approaches can require larger equipment, traffic management, site modifications, multiple handling stages, and significant operational time, increasing both project costs and complexity.
As projects become more complex, the need for specialist access and deployment solutions continues to grow.

The Vision
Spidi Lift Solutions is being developed as a specialist access, lifting, and deployment business focused on projects where conventional methods become difficult, expensive, or impractical.
Our vision is to provide innovative solutions that help construction, infrastructure, utility, telecommunications, marine, and industrial projects overcome access challenges safely and efficiently.
Rather than replacing traditional lifting and transport providers, Spidi Lift Solutions aims to complement the industry by providing specialist capability for the jobs that fall outside the comfort zone of conventional equipment.
By combining specialist lifting technology, all-terrain deployment capability, and practical industry experience, we aim to help customers solve complex access challenges while reducing project costs, disruption, and operational complexity.

About the founder
Spidi Lift Solutions was founded by Rick Burgess, an experienced business owner and operator with a background spanning lifting, transport, construction support, logistics, and specialist access projects.
Over the past several years, Rick built and operated Mercury Bay Hi-Ab Services, working alongside builders, engineers, infrastructure contractors, utility providers, and local businesses throughout the Coromandel and wider region. This hands-on experience provided a unique perspective on the challenges many projects face when access, terrain, and site constraints become the biggest obstacle to getting work completed efficiently.
Through working on residential builds, infrastructure upgrades, marine projects, telecommunications installations, structural steel placements, and difficult-access sites, Rick repeatedly identified opportunities where specialist lifting and deployment solutions could improve safety, efficiency, and project outcomes.
Spidi Lift Solutions was created from that experience and a belief that the industry requires innovative solutions for increasingly complex construction and infrastructure environments.
Today, Rick is focused on transforming that vision into a specialist business dedicated to helping projects overcome access challenges and operational constraints.
